September McKinleyville Arts Night Join us for our community's celebration of local art and artists for music, food and fun. New this month: Visit the two brand new participating venues: The Front Gallery & Gifts, McKinleyville's newest new art and gift shop, and Grace Good Shepherd Church.
The Front Gallery & Gifts, a new venue for September and McKinleyville's newest art and gift shop, is located at 1181 Central Avenue. They will be featuring sculptures by Jonathan Robertson and live old-time country, blue grass and rock music by Ricky B & Friends. We have all kinds of glass art, the bronze sculptures of our featured artist, prints and paintings on the walls, jewelry, etc. We are getting more things in all the time, and we boast all local artists.
Down the street in the Miller Business Park, Mirador Glass will be displaying photographs by featuring Lauren Sarabia. Conscious Home will be featuring the wall art and pottery from "From the Heart of the Earth Pottery" by Amanda Jane Pollock and tabletop items from "Wayne's World of Exotic Woods". Community Art Workshop will be highlighting local musician Kahish, who will be performing selections of her own music.
From there, head down Hiller Road to new Art Night venue Grace Good Shepherd Church, located at 1450 Hiller Road. They will be featuring Paintings by Geoff Werronen and Folk Art by Penelope Pachec. At 7 pm there will be live music by Jeff Landen, performing his eclectic mix of soul-inspired country, R&B and gospel. Come by for BBQ veggie bites from their community garden and view their "living wall of sunflowers" a Fall must see in McKinleyveille.
Back on Central Avenue Blake's Books, 2005 Central Avenue, is featuring photographs by Darlene Marlow. Across the street at the McKinleyville Shopping Center, Plaza Design will be displaying mirrors by Faye Zierer, including handpainted and recycled redwood window frame mirrors. Yurika Beads will be featuring works by Dale Corbridge, including glass sculpture, jewelry and prints. Northcoast Gallery will be exhibiting the photography by Steve Anderson. Ramone's will be displaying Janice McIntosh's watercolor & acrylic paintings.
